The author reinforces the view that entrepreneurs create new value by investing in ideas, and specific recommendations are made for creating supportive structures, building teams of creative individuals, and successfully championing ideas to acquire the resources they need to produce innovations. He is an advisor to many startups, having co-founded several technology ventures and been awarded a variety of patents. Tom received his engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Queen's University. He is currently completing his PhD in Management at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Ottawa, where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship and innovation. ER -
